Friday the 13th

Hello there my pretties
Well as most of you have probably noticed, today is Friday the 13th! Plus Halloween is sneaking closer. And in honor of that I'm putting together a little list of some great weird and spooky things

Here are two creepy Youtube series, that I just love!

The Haunting of Sunshine Girl is a great not to scary paranormal web series. It follows a girl who makes videos about the ghosts that seem to follow her around. It is kind of a silly series, but it's strangely addictive and it makes you want to keep watching. I'd start at the first season which you can find HERE

Marble Hornets  Is a web series that honestly always get's my heart pumping, and probably gets me jumpier then it should. It has to do with the myth of slender man, which I am not a huge fan of, but this did draw me in and make me want to see what happens next. I don't really know how to explain it. I think it's one of those things you have to watch to understand. You can find the introduction HERE and the first entry HERE

I'm not a huge fan of scary movies, but here are some spooky and weird movies I love.

Night of the Living Dead (1968), I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it when I was about 13. I honestly have to say I laugh a lot during it. sure parts of it scare me and make me jump a bit, but mostly I find it wonderfully tacky. Hulu has it and a whole bunch of other great old movies to stream for free! You can find Night of the Living Dead HERE

The House on Haunted Hill (1959), I haven't watched this movie since last Halloween, but I remember loving it an I'm sure I'll watch it again this year! Hule has this movie for free as well, they have the color version  HERE but I personally prefer the black and white one which you can find HERE

And Then There Were None (1945), Is probably my all time favorite movie. It isn't really scary, but it's a great mystery, I mean it's based off an Agatha Christie book, how could you go wrong? I couldn't find this on Hulu or anything, but I know I've seen the full movie on Youtube. The movie is in the Public Domain so it shouldn't be hard to find a place to watch it.

Spooky and weird facts:
1. In 1386, a pig in France was executed by public hanging. it was accused of murdering a child.
2. The nursery rhyme "Ring a ring o'roses" supposedly refers to the black plague.
3. A human head can stay conscious for up to 25 seconds after being decapitated.
4. There is supposedly an island off of Italy, that was the sight of wars, a dumping ground for plague victims and an insane asylum. It is considered to be dangerously haunted. So much so that the Italian government does not allow t he public to access it.
5. The head of King Henry IV of France was found preserved in an attic back in 2010.

Okay so this isn't something spook or weird or anything like that. But I found this blog called My Happy Place and she has a bunch of really amazing recipes for fast quick single serving recipes, I am in love with this bownie that you make in the microwave (I made mine with coffee flavored yogurt and it was amazing). You can find all of her posts about single serving recipes HERE
I know that isn't creepy, but I think that well you're watching scary movies or Youtube series these would be awesome to snack on. And they seem like great fall treats. Because you know fall is all about comfort foods.

So anyways I'm off to get some chores and stuff done.
I hope you all survive through this Friday the 13th!

What I Wore - Monday Monday

Hi
Well it's Monday...How did that happen? I swear time seems to be moving faster and faster. Anyway I had a great weekend! Friday I got a bunch of new listing up in my Etsy shop, Which for me I find to be rather time consuming but it's totally worth it. Saturday I went yard saling in a different town then I usually do, and oh my goodness it was great! I found so much stuff! I got enough vintage clothes to fill a laundry hamper, I might end up selling some of them at some point. I originally opened my Etsy shop to sell vintage clothing but then never ended up doing it. But yeah Saturday was one of the best yard sale days I've had this summer, maybe I'll do a haul post. Sunday my mom, my step dad and I drove 2 hours to go to the Bangor Fair, and lets just say this year was kind of a let down, it was smaller then it used to be, and there weren't as many animals in the agricultural part of it. After since we barely spent anytime at the fair we went candle pin bowling, which is a blast. I've never played regular bowling with the big pins and balls, but I think it would be dangerous for me to try, it's all I can do to not hurt myself playing candle pin. Then me and my mom went and won a bunch of tickets in the arcade. And yes me and my mom often act like children together.
Anyways onto the outfit photos!

Dress, Yard Sale, 1$
Shoes, Marden's, Piper & Blue, 2$
Tights, Kohls (I think), 1$
Belt, Came with another dress
Glasses, Walmart, 1$
Headband, Family Dollar, 2$
Necklace, Marden's 1$

Okay so let me start by saying please ignore the mess! And I swear the plastic flamingo lights have a good purpose (they don't, yet).
I picked this dress up a few weeks ago and it is quickly becoming a favorite. There are only 2 small issues with it, someone replaced the zipper rather poorly and I'm scared I'll rip it out. And the straps have a tendency to fall down my arms. Both are easy fixes if I'd just get motivated to sew again. But in any case I love the print and the fit, it is just perfect.
I know some people might cringe when I say I buy something at Family Dollar or Walmart, but as I've said before I don't care where it comes from just as long as I like it. Family Dollar has the most adorable selection of headbands and they are super cheap, I wear headbands a lot so I like having a good variety to choose from and I just cant justify spending over 3 bucks on one. And as for the sunglasses, they have a high UV protection, they are a great style, and they were only a dollar. I break my sunglasses constantly so I can't really justify spending more then 5$ on a pair, Walmart has a great selection and they are often very very cheap. Sure you might have to dig around stores like Family Dollar and Walmart to find something you like, but it's worth it in the long run. I don't really understand why people feel ashamed to buy clothes and stuff from those sorts of stores. Maybe it's just because I have very limited selection of what stores are close to me or maybe it's because I'm a cheap Yankee. Either way I like getting good deals and i don't care what store somethings from.
Okay sorry for the rant! it's just something that's been bugging me lately.
Have a great Monday (or at least try)!

What I Wore - Flower Child

Hey hey
(Anyone that's ever watched the britcom As Time Goes By, may know who has says that)
Today is one of those days where I just feel like doing nothing and wish I could just hide under the blankets all day. Unfortunately I can't do that, but oh well. I'll get some music playing and get motivated for the day.

Dress, Thrifted, Vintage, 1$
Shoes, Marden's, Joe Boxer, 2$
Necklace, Marden's, 1$

I have to say it, I think this is my favorite dress I've had it for a year or 2 now and I have worn it so many times! It's my go to dress it's the perfect length and fit, and it is so perfect and 1960s. I am honestly not sure if it's authentic 60s or not, the zipper doesn't look exactly right for that era, but it also looks like the zipper may have been replaced. The fabric of the lining and the dress both have that vintage feel and quality. So I'm just not sure, there's no tag left so I guess I may never know.
I wish I had a bunch of dresses like this in different colors and patterns, I've been on the hunt since I got this one, but they don't seem to show up very often.
I really wanted to do a beehive kind of style with this outfit but my hair just wouldn't go along with that. My layers just aren't grown out  enough yet, Some day though!
Oh and you can't tell in any of these photos but I did very Twiggy inspired eyes. I don't know why you can't see them in these because in real life they were extremely obvious.
I feel kind of silly for posting only outfit posts 3 days in a row, but I really liked what I was wearing this week. I love dressing for hot summer weather!
Well anyways I better go and get some stuff done.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Summer Playlist

Greetings everyone!
Today I thought I'd share my Summer Soundtrack with you.
I love music and I listen to just about everything so by the end of the summer, probably the end of the week I'll be listening to different things. But these songs seem to be my favorites right now, some of them are some long time favorites. They all just seemed to scream summer though, or at least my idea of summer.
It's another hot sticky day here, and I have no clue what I'm going to do today. I guess I'll just have to figure it out.
So here is my playlist. I hope you enjoy it!
What are you favorite summer songs?

What I Wore: Strawberries

Hi Everyone!
So I am finally back and I hope to get into a scheduled again with blogging now that things have cleared up around here a little.
So here are some outfit photos from over the weekend!

Dress, A|wear, thrifted, 50 cents
Necklace, vintage, thrifted, 50 cents
Belt, vintage, Thrifted, 25 cents
Shoes, Piper & Blue, Marden's, 1$

I loved this outfit, I felt really good in it. I wasn't sure about this dress when I picked it up because I am very insecure about my back and I didn't think I'd be confident enough to wear an open back dress but then I put it on and really loved how it looked. Just like always I don't think these photos really capture the dress well. but I like them.
I've been having a lot of trouble figuring out what to wear lately, my style seems to be changing very rapidly so it's been hard for me to pick out things, that I like. Has this ever happened to you?
I hope I'll be out of my fashion slump soon and that I'll figure out what my style is turning into soon.
I'm sorry that my room is messy in the background of these photos, I cleaned it after I took these.
I'm trying to think of some fun posts I can do, and I have a few things in mind but I'm not sure about them yet.
I hope you all are having a great Monday!

Pinterest Findings

Hello hello!
I just wanted to share some things I've found on Pinterest lately.

I'm not sure that I'm very fond of this new Pinterest embed thing, I really liked the old way but I guess we'll see how it works out.
Lately before bed all I seem to do is sit and browse Pinterest or watch Youtube videos. I feel really bad about how much I've let blogging slip, but life has been so crazy and weird lately that I just can't concentrate. Every time I sit down to update this little blog of mine, I seem to just forget what I was going to write and I just forget about it. So again I am so sorry that I haven't been in the blogging world lately but I truly am trying  so please stick with me well I get life under control. Thank you all.
If you would like to follow my Pinterest you can find me HERE.
I hope you all have a great day!

Hello all
Today I'd like to share some of my favorite from Deviant Art.
If you aren't sure what Deviant Art is, well it's a place where artists can share their work and get feed back. It's like a social media of art.
So here are some lovely things I've found

I hope you all have a great weekend!
